How it began:
The Kids Swap & Share is Her Hive’s first community-led event. It started off with a small group of moms wanting a space to bring all their outgrown items to swap amongst each other for free. The moms decided to open up their first event to the community and since then it’s grown solely by word of mouth from just the Her Hive community to the entire Triad.
What is it?
Imagine a consignment store with a twist – EVERYTHING is FREE!
Clean out your closet, attic, or garage, and bring in outgrown clothes, toys, and more. Then, shop for items you need, all for free. No sales, no admission fees. It’s all about community and sharing!
Everyone is welcome, regardless of income. Even if you don’t have items to bring, come and find some hidden treasures. Let’s spread the love and share the joy together.
Eligible Items
- Gently used premie to juniors clothing
- Maternity and nursing clothes
- Shoes
- Toys with all pieces included
- Books
- Baby care items & accessories
- Small furniture (crib mattresses, changing tables)
- Kids costumes
- Gently Used (not broken) strollers
Non-Eligible Items
- Stained or torn clothing
- Adult clothing (unless maternity or nursing)
- Dressers or other large furniture
- Formula or other baby food
- Used underwear
- Broken toys
- Anything that contains mold
- Breast pumps or parts
- Car seats or car seat accessories
